The Best Forklifts for Long Load Handling

Standard forklifts are ineffective at handling long or bulky loads; they require significant open space to maneuver and can be dangerous if the operator exceeds load center requirements. Many operators resort to carrying loads high to avoid obstacles, but that, too, is unsafe.

So, what is the best solution for handling load loads like timber, steel, or pipe? Enter Comblift forklifts.

SIDELOADER FORKLIFTS

Instead of forks on the front, sideloaders, as the name suggests, have forks positioned on the side of the machine. This allows operators to pick up and unload long, bulky loads easily, even in narrow aisles. To improve load stability and safety, Combilift Sideloaders have a flat platform on either side of the forks. A variety of Combilift Sideloader models are available, including LPG, Diesel, and electric with capacities ranging from 9,900 lbs. to 17,600 lbs.

MULTI-DIRECTIONAL FORKLIFTS

Multi-directional forklifts combine all the benefits of a sideloader with those of a traditional forklift. Operators can alter the wheel direction with a simple flick of a switch enabling them to easily navigate narrow spaces with awkward loads. Combilift multi-directional forklift models offer capacity ranging from 2,200 lbs. to 55,000 lbs.
