The E80XNL has been specifically designed to take advantage of the form factor of the lithium-ion battery pack, creating greater space in the operator compartment and lowering the center of gravity. Lithium-ion power is an ideal solution for heavy-duty applications due to zero battery maintenance, fast charging, and a long battery life.

- For applications with high ambient temperatures and/or high charging demands, cooling options are available. Vented paneling and fans pull air across the battery. Fans will run when:
- Battery enters thermal cutback
- Anytime battery is on charge
